Q.
When are where is
the course held?
We mostly hold our NLP courses in
'The Polish Centre' in Chiswick where we use a large training
room with natural daylight that is ideal for this kind of
experiential training.
For more
information follow this link:Polish Centre
in Hammersmith. The centre is few minutes walk from Ravenscourt Park
tube station. As well as being a comfortable, spacious venue
there are excellent and varied lunch spots. It is also close
to Ravenscourt Park if you fancy a quiet stroll during breaks.
The course follows a modular
structure and all the modules run from Friday to Sunday - see
the information for each for specific module or the course
booking form for dates. We start at 9.30am each morning and
finish at 6.00pm on Friday and Saturday and 5.00pm on Sunday. Also click on the
Course Calendar to the left to see the schedule for the
upcoming year.

Q.
What is the format
of the training?
The format of the training is
experiential. You will typically be given some background
presentation, then a demo, a chance to try stuff out for
yourself in small groups (typically in pairs or 3's) then a
chance to review and discuss what you learned as part of the
training group.
We throw in all sorts of
experiential exercises to really get the knowledge 'In the
muscle' and aim for variety and fun to accelerate the learning
process. You will also get a comprehensive set of notes specially
created to accompany the training material.

Q. How do I compare your course directly with other courses?
We aim to make this easy to do
with our free 'Guide
to choosing an NLP Course'. This is one of the most
comprehensive and unbiased guides available. We also have a
summary checklist that accompanies the guide which can be found
here.

Q.
Is this an accredited
course?
The principal trainers (Judy Apps
and Paul Belcher) are accredited by
NLPU, based in Santa Cruz University and the home of NLP.
Both trainers have received training from and are endorsed by
Robert Dilts and Judith Delozier, two of the original group of
NLP developers and on-going NLP pioneers.

Q.
Is this business-focused or for personal development?
The course works at the individual
level and hence is primarily for individual personal development
- as any NLP course is. However the course is also highly
practical and all the concepts and skills you learn will be
applicable to any area of your life - personal and business...
We make every effort to ensure you know when and how to apply
what you learn.

Q.
You say
the ABL course is the most 'flexible' full-length course in
the UK - what do you mean by that?
A 'full-length' practitioner
course is generally regarded to be at least 120 hours of direct
training time in length. Most full-length courses have to be
taken in sequence and this limits the flexibility of when to do
the course. Each module of the ABL course has been designed to
be 'stand-alone' and can be taken out of sequence. Basically you
can build up the modules and do the course when best suits you -
this is quite unique in the UK for a full-length 120 hour
course.

Q.
What are the payment
options?
We aim to offer excellent value
whilst being flexible and accommodating to personal
circumstances. We have a flexible payment plan and to find out
more see the Prices and
Booking page.

Q.
I
notice you do an 18 day course and others do 7 days, 20 days
and so on. What's the difference?
We think there is a big difference.
Many of the shorter NLP courses claim to use 'Accelerated
Learning' or hypnosis techniques to enable the learning to be
just as comprehensive - even on a shorter course. Well we use
'Accelerated Learning' techniques too; ones that enable you to
fully 'experience' the learning and also understand cognitively
what you have learned. You decide what is better for you...
The 20+ days courses are typically
the same number of total hours as our full-length 120 hour
course. We have made our training days slightly longer in our
6x3 day format to minimise the time individuals have to take of
work. Only 6 days out of a normal working week for the full
practitioner course.

Q.
Do I get distance
learning materials before the course?
Distance learning using CD's,
DVD's and reading can be a useful way to shorten the time spent
in the training room. We believe this to be a compromise though
and do not currently offer distance learning material prior to
the course.

Q.
How will I be assessed?
The assessment is on-going
throughout the whole training. You will be observed by the
trainers and assisting team and our philosophy is to give timely
and appropriate feedback that supports your learning. As part of
the course you will also be giving active feedback to others and
part of the assessment is how well you support others learning.
If for some reason you fall-short
of the standards that we require to complete our course we may
invite you back to retake part of the course - free of charge.
Everyone will pass - eventually. That's our commitment.

Q.
What
if I come on the course and it isn't for me?
This can happen and the trainers
will probably spot it before you do. Some people aren't ready
for the powerful changes that NLP can create and that is
perfectly normal and ok by us. If now is not the right time for
you then we will refund 100% of your investment - simple as
that.

Q.
What
happens if I can't attend a specific module?
You can simply take the specific
module at a future date at know extra cost to yourself. All we
ask is that you give us as much warning as you can so that we
can let someone on our waiting list know.

Q.
I
really enjoyed the 'Core Skills' course - how much will it
cost me to sign up for the whole practitioner course?
It's a sensible idea to try us out
by doing the 'Core Skills' course first. If you want to continue
on to do the full practitioner course we simply ask you to pay
the difference, i.e., take what you have already paid of the
full course fee. That way you get all the benefits of signing up
to the full course and get to try us out first.

Q.
I hear
support during and after an NLP course is really important.
What does ABL do?
As much as we reasonably can is
the answer because this is so important. You can start an
amazing journey when you do an NLP Practitioner course and we
want to make sure you continue with an appropriate level of
support.
Your going to meet a great bunch
of people on the course and will almost certainly make new
life-long friends. We keep the groups at just right size to be
able to do this and this is perhaps one of the most rewarding
parts of taking an NLP Practitioner training. On-going support
from people you really know well and like...
We have an on-line forum that is
free for you to use where you can join
other people who have trained with ABL World. We provide access
and information to local practice groups and will do our best to
support you starting your own if you wish.
We welcome you back
to take any module again for free within 12 months after
completing the Practitioner course. Many people find this a
really useful thing to do and often learn much more. It's part
of our commitment to making sure you get the best support for
on-going learning and in effect you are buying a 36-day course
for the price of 18-days. All we ask is that you give us plenty
of notice so we can ensure there is enough room.
How else can we support your
learning outside of the main course? We are always looking for
more ways to do that.

Q.
I've taken a practitioner course with another provider but
really like the look of yours and want some more practice - what
deal could you give me?
Just send us a copy of your NLP
Practitioner certificate (from any other training provider) and
we will only charge you 50% of the standard fee. Simple as that.

Q.
Who are your trainers?
Your lead trainers are Judy Apps
and Paul Belcher who have had years of experience using and
training in NLP. Both have trained with some of the most
well-known NLP trainers and qualified as trainers at NLPU, the
home of NLP in Santa Cruz, California. For more about Judy and
Paul see our About Us
page.
We also use other trainers as
appropriate but Judy and Paul are always on hand to answer your
questions and support your learning.
[Back

Q.
What is
the 'Assisting Team' and who are they?
The 'Assisting Team' or 'Resource
Team' are experienced NLP'ers who volunteer to attend courses to
assist and support your learning whilst refreshing their NLP
skills at the same time. The Assistants are on hand to provide
feedback and support as appropriate in addition to the trainers.
This is a common part of NLP training and can be a great way to
practice your skills once you have completed your
course.

Q.
What happens if I just want to take one of the modules for
now?
We have designed the ABL NLP
Practitioner with this specifically in mind. Each module has a
specific theme so you choice which one is most relevant to you.
And each module is a self-contained training course full of
practical tools and concepts that you can apply immediately.

Q.
What's the
best way to ask more questions?
Please feel free to contact us
using our normal
contact information. We aim to be accessible and either Judy
or Paul will answer your questions in person as soon as they
can.
Give it a try.
